Extension of long-term partnership with LittleBigHelp’s Boys’ Hostel.

Lind Foundation extends support to LittleBigHelp’s Boys’ Hostel with two years. LittleBigHelp is an NGO established in Denmark in 2010 to create better opportunities for vulnerable children and women in West Bengal, India.

Lind Foundation supports both LittleBigHelp’s Boys’ and Girls’ Hostel. At the hostel, LittleBigHelp empowers children to break the cycle of poverty, by giving them the support, skills, and tools they need to create a brighter future for themselves, their families, and their community.

The children start a new life away from the streets with care, education, nutrient-rich meals, health checks and personal development – something they have never had before. The children are given a structured life with sports, music, drawing, meditation, and games. The staff and social workers provide ongoing guidance and counselling about the challenges they face in life and how to cope with them.

LittleBigHelp also prepares the children for a life outside the homes – and now some of the eldest children have graduated from their vocational diploma and moved out of the homes, ready for new adventures.

As part of the partnership, we measure the long-term changes for the children when they move out of the hostels as young adults. We look forward to following the children on their further journeys and measuring the long-term social impacts of having a safe home, a social network, improved health, and income-generating skills to become financially independent.
